Reichert Foresee PHP

The Foresee PHP is a macular perimeter, indicated as a diagnostic aid for detection and monitoring of the progression of Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD) including, but not limited to, the detection of Choroidal Neovascularization (CNV). AMD is the leading cause of blindness in Americans over age 60. Breakthrough treatments for CNV recently received FDA approval and have been scientifically proven to halt vision loss related to CNV and in some cases improve vision. These recent advancements have raised awareness of the need for better technology to monitor AMD patients and detect conversion to CNV at a significantly earlier stage. Early detection is directly correlated to effectiveness of treatment. The Foresee PHP is the only diagnostic technology available specifically developed for monitoring AMD and early detection of CNV.

Preferential Hyperacuity Perimetry is based on the visual phenomenon known as Hyperacuity or Vernier Acuity (10X more sensitive than standard acuity). It is the only technology of its kind and received FDA clearance in 2004.

Specific and unique features of the Foresee PHP not available on any other device include:

i. The only device with FDA clearance for early detection of CNV
ii. The only device with AMD Normative Database Analysis
iii. The only quantitative automated threshold visual field test for monitoring AMD
iv. The only device with scientific, clinical validation peer reviewed studies
